Beatrice “Tris” Prior has reached the fateful age of sixteen, the stage at which teenagers in Veronica Roth’s dystopian Chicago must select which of five factions to join for life. Each faction represents a virtue: Candor, Abnegation, Dauntless, Amity, and Erudite. To the surprise of herself and her selfless Abnegation family, she chooses Dauntless, the path of courage. Her choice exposes her to the demanding, violent initiation rites of this group, but it also threatens to expose a personal secret that could place in mortal danger. Veronica Roth’s young adult Divergent trilogy launches with a captivating adventure about love and loyalty playing out under most extreme circumstances.

Review
This is the kind of book that no one can resist loving. When I had to put the book down to do other things I had this longing inside to go pick it up again because I needed to know what was going to happen.

The characters are all very entertaining and diverse that you either fall in love with a character or you hate them. Tris is someone you want to hug right away from the moment the introduction starts.

Even though I say this every time I pick up a dystopian book, I truly think this is one of the best books I have ever read. This might very well be the next Hunger Games or Harry Potter. Completely recommended.
